I’m often asked: Online Personal Branding, what is it? And what does it have to do with me?

Good questions.

The fact is that in this era people and companies are increasingly using the internet to find out information about others. When you log onto major social networking sites like LinkedIn, MySpace.com, Facebook Twitter, StumbleUpon or other social media sites (you can find me under username MarkMontoya) you leave a ‘virtual footprint’ that gives an impression of who you are, what you like, whom you chose to associate with and other characteristics about who you are. Nice Moment by the Crowd at the Holiday Bowl [video]

Was at the Holiday Bowl December 30, 2009 when before the singing of the National Anthem, there was the singing of America the Beautiful… unfortunately for the singer, the sound went out… fortunately the crowd helped out – quite nicely! It was the only good part of an otherwise forgettable game [way to show up Wildcats!] Continue reading Nice Moment by the Crowd at the Holiday Bowl

Holiday Spectacular! Videos and Images that have me pumped for the Holidays

Videos and Images that have me pumped for the Holidays
Nothing says holidays like Mr. T and Nancy Reagan!

[Hopefully, the images and videos here will help overcome any untoward smell that you are experiencing now.]

Writing regularly has proven difficult… Awareness #1

Just writing to write is one thing. Yeah, I can scribble down some thoughts and notes, but when it comes to writing something for others to read it becomes a bit more difficult… I start to wonder what would be interesting reading? Why does someone else care about what I write? Etc. Etc.

Here is my first attempt to raise some awareness, some of which was brought on by my own writers block:

Our sense of self-worth, our self-esteem, is important… but its’ abstract. It’s not quantifiable. You can’t touch it. Continue reading Writing regularly has proven difficult… Awareness #1
